My son Forrest O'Connor visited me in Highlands for a few days and it was great to see him. Lots of fun, laughs all backdropped by this gorgeous view of the Western Carolina mountains. So we decided to take a photo together just before he headed back to Nashville. The first pic went well, but after looking at it, he said; wow I'm so much taller than you. I said; let me see that... And that is when I discovered that my son was standing on slightly higher ground. And so I called for a re-take and switched sides. He begrudgingly agreed to humor me. The 2nd photo was a good one, yes, but man, if he wasn't coming off taller than his dad! However, Maggie snapped another pic in that sequence and she landed a portrait angle that got the full length of our bodies in the shot. And lo and behold— someone was standing on his tippy-toes.. Haha! The evidence is clear as day here. Totally busted on this. I will give Forrest credit for the strength to stay on his toes for the entire shot without wavering and giving himself away. Such dedication.
